PART B - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


Practical Training & Project Work

At the end of 6th Semester of study, the student will be examined in the course "Project Work".

  1. Project Work may be done individually or in group in case of bigger projects. (Provided distinctly separate module is allotted to each student). Project Work should be useful and relevant from the Commercial and Management angle.

  1. Student must submit 2 copies of the Project Report to the Institute in consultation with Internal guide by 30th April. Students must also submit 4 typed copies of the Project Synopsis of which one copy is to be forwarded to the panel members by the Institute for conducting External Project viva. The Project Synopsis should clearly explain the project scope in detail, Data Dictionary, DFD's, ERD's, File Designs and a lost of Output Reports should also be included.

  1. The Project Report should be prepared in a format prescribed by the University which also specifies the contents and the method of presentation. Wherever possible a separate file containing source code listing should also be submitted.

  1. The Project Report will carry 200 Marks for Internal Assessment and 300 Marks for External Assessment.

  1. The External Viva would be held in April/May (6th Semester) for one hour.

General Rules & Regulations

  1. Attendance : 75% attendance is necessary as per the rules of University of Pune.

  1. Course Timings : 8.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m

  1. Eligibility : Graduate (45% Marks) with valid MAH-MC-CET Score. Mathematics

compulsory at 10th / 12th / Graduation Level.

  1. Syllabus : MCA Syllabus will be according to Syllabus framed by University of Pune.

  1. Code of Conduct for Students : Every Student admitted to this Institute will abide by the Code of Conduct mentioned in Ordinance No.157 of University of Pune.

Fees to be paid

  1. Student will have to pay the total annual fees for the course before commencement of the Academic Year .

  1. Rules for Refund of Fees are given below.

Refund of Tuition Fee, Development Fee and Other Fees :

The Candidate who has been provisionally admitted may cancel admission by submitting an application in duplicate, in the prescriobed proforma - O and may request for refund of fees. The refund of fees as applicable shall be made in due course. It is made clear that such application for cancellation will be considered if and only if the admission is confirmed by paying the prescribed tuition fee and other fees in full and by submitting the original documents. Refund shall be made after deduction of the cancellation charges as shown below:

NOTE : 1. Amount of security / Caution Money Deposit is to be refunded entirely to candidate.

For calculation of amount on the pro-rata basis, one month shall be treated as one unit e. g. if the candidate cancels admission wihin first month after start of academic session and the seat is filled before the cut off date, then cancellation charges will be 1 x (total fees / 12), minimum Rs. 1000/-.

Note : No refund on Sale of Prospectus and Application Form.

  1. Refund of Caution Money & Library Deposit : The Deposit will be refunded to the students upto 3 years after completion of the Course. Thereafter no Deposit will be refunded under any circumstances.
