Diploma in Taxation Laws (DTL)

Eligibility for Admission

Graduate in any faculty from a recognised University.


Duration & Structure of the Course

Course will be of one academic year. The course will consist of following papers:
  1. Book Keeping & Accountancy

  2. Income Tax Act

  3. Central Excise, Wealth Tax & Service Tax

  4. Central Sales Tax Act & Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act 2002

  5. General Laws Affecting Taxation


Standard and Grade of Passing
  1. A candidate who secures a minimum 35% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% on the whole shall be declared to have passed the examination in Second Class.

  2. A candidate who secures a minimum 35% marks in each paper and aggregate of 66% on the whole shall be declared to have passed the examination in First Class.

  3. In addition to paragraph (1) and (2) above, if a candidate secures 75% and above marks in each paper be declared to have obtained Distinction.


Rules regarding Exemption

A candidate who obtains at least 50% of the total marks in a paper shall at his option be exempted from the paper/s at the subsequent examination. He shall however have to pass in the remaining paper/s in accordance with standard of passing laid down above.


Fees to be Paid

Students will have to pay the total annual fees for the course before commencement of the Academic Year.
Rs 16031/- for A.Y 2010-11(Provisional Fees)

Admission

Admission will be given on the basis of All India Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) score. ATMA will be conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS).

Attendance

75% attendance is necessary as per the rules of University of Pune.

6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
